Anfernee Grier is a 2013 OF/SS, RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Phenix City, AL who attends Russell County HS. Lean and wiry athletic build, high waist, loose actions. Tall stance hitting, rock back load, very quick hands, deceptive hand strength, very good bat speed, good extension, pulls the ball hard, has some lift at times, impressive hitting tools. 6.87 runner, very good outfield arm strength, good range to the ball, can improve footwork. Also plays infield, very good carry and arm strength, tends to lay back on the ball, long arm, has the tools but skills further away than in the outfield. Also pitched, high 3/4's to over the top release, leans off, throws downhill, mid 80's fastball is mostly straight, slurve type breaking ball has some spin and depth, slows on change up. Very good student.
