Works from stretch, limited lower 1/2 use, high 3/4's arm slot, long extended arm action, throws downhill. Mid 80's fastball, touched 86 mph, mostly straight. Curveball flashes good depth and bite, tends to rush release on curveball and leave up, some feel for change up. Around the zone with all pitches, can improve with some delivery adjustments. Good student.

Cole Johnson is a 2012 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Ellerslie, GA who attends Harris County. Long, lean build with lots of room to fill. Long arm action from high 3/4 slot. Extended release, gets out front. Maintained velocity. Showed a curveball and a slider. Curveball has 12/6 break, slider is effective. Quick hands fielding at 1B. Long arm action with very solid arm strength. Pull approach at the plate, opens up early and looks get hit ball out front. Showed bat speed and pop to all fields. Has strength, will improve with better balance. Good student.

OH arm slot on the mound, long loose arm, deceptive delivery, good sinking action on fastball, big 12-6 curveball with late life, maintains arm speed on chgeup, makes hitters put the ball in play, nice three-pitch mix. Good strength in swing, short quick swing, stays inside ball, squares up, will go to all fields, better balance in swing will improve hitting ability. Solid student.
