Reed Bastie is a 2012 RHP/SS/OF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Trinity Christian Academy. Very slender build, developing strength. Tall delivery, mid to low 3/4's release point, loose arm action, steady 78-80 mph fastball with very good sinking action, breaking ball better at high slider velocity, sharper break/more shape, threw strikes, has an idea. Line drive swing, tends to step out, handles inside pitch well. Has good outfield actions, accurate arm, moves to the ball well, 7.39 runner. Very good student.
