Weston Davis is a 2014 RHP with a 6-3 172 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends Manatee HS. Very lean and projectable build, not much present strength. Long whippy arm action, shows ball in back, twisting delivery, low 3/4's release slot, some effort at release but repeats mechanics well. Fastball topped at 88 mph, ball comes out of hand easily, big arm side running action at times, can get inside to right handed hitters but also spots the ball glove side well, throws strikes and has an idea how to use his fastball. Threw only fastballs, has shown a mid 70's change up as a primary off speed pitch in the past, also throws a low to mid 70's slurve on occasion. Good student.

Pitches from a low three quarters arm slot, long whippy arm action, arm works well, good arm speed. Good armside run on fastball, flashes heavy run, projectable arm. Upright finish, balanced delivery, slow paced smooth delivery. Good sinking action on changeup in mid 70s, solid second pitch. Good student.
