Ben Gregg is a 2006 3B/MIF from El Dorado HS in Placerville, CA, with a 5'9", 140 lb. frame. Offensively he is a right handed hitter who hits from an upright stance with a short stride and a high hand set. Gregg stays balanced throughout his swing, and loads his hands well. There is leverage in his swing and he hits off a stiff front leg and keeps his weight back well. He centers the ball well with a line drive swing plane. At third base he shows solid footwork with good hands, but didn't look comfortable during the workout portion. Gregg showed an accurate arm with a quick transfer and release. Added strength will help his all-around game.

Ben Gregg is a 2006 third baseman/middle infielder from Placerville California with a lean build at 5'9", 140 pounds. He hits from a slightly open stance with high hands and a small stride. He hits off his front foot with decent bat speed and quick hands. He has a contact approach and sprayed line drives to all fields. He is a top of the order put the ball in play type of player, and is quick out of the box. He showed some speed with a 7.36 in the 60, and he has good baseball instincts. Gregg has quick feet, and showed good balance and body control. He has a compact arm action with a smooth transfer and quick release. Ben is a young looking junior with lots of room to add strength which will help him a lot at the next level.

Ben is a 2006 grad from El Dorado, California with a small frame and lean muscles thru out. He's a live bodied young player with some quick twitch muscles. He profiles to second base in the future and has quick, sure hands and a short, quick release that will help him on the double play. Ben hits from balanced stance with a short stride and shows the ability to hit the ball to all fields. Added strength will definitely help him become a more productive hitter.
