2009 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Jake Sorrentino is a 2010 RHP/3B with a 5'11'', 192 lb. frame from Mountain Lakes, NJ who attends Mountain Lakes. Medium frame, good present strength. Compact arm action, high 3/4's release, some drop and drive to the plate, effort on release, repeats fairly well, works quickly. Upper 70's fastball, mostly straight, topped at 79 mph, CB shows good spin and bite, nice downer shape. Still needs to fine tune command. Shows some pop at the plate, uses entire field, good contact, handles the barrell. Good student.
