Daniel McKinney is a 2012 RHP with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Bowling Green, OH who attends Bowling Green HS. Nice pitcher's build, projects to get stronger. Full leg lift delivery, tends to lean back and lose ideal balance, some drop and drive to the plate. Upper 80's fastball to 89 mph, mostly straight, will occasionally cut glove side, primary fastball pitcher, pitches to spots effectively and challenges. Flashes good curveball spin, proper 11/5 shape, could develop more depth. Didn't see change up. Improving off speed pitches will be key, has a good idea with the fastball. Good student, verbal commitment to Michigan.
