DeDecker is a 6-0, 155 lb. senior right handed pitcher from Florida. He has a good balanced delivery with a sound arm action. DeDecker accelerates his arm well and did a good job maintaining his velocity and stuff. His fastball was in the 81-84 mph range and he showed the ability to both cut it into left handed hitters or ride it up on right handed hitters at different times. DeDecker threw a slider at 76 mph that was a solid pitch with some tightness and also a nice 77 mph change up. DeDecker threw strikes with all his pitches and got a lot of ground balls with the life on his fastball. He should continue to improve his velocity as he gets stronger and he already has the pitches and strong fundamentals to be successful. DeDecker is also a very good student. Strong follow.
