L.V. Ware is a strong lean very athletic 6'0/180 OF from Atlanta, GA. His bat is still a bit raw but his physical tools are national level top notch. He ran the 60 in a very fast 6.48 and threw 91 mph from the outfield, both MLB plus tools. He's a true MLB defensive center fielder with a MLB right fielders arm. At the plate, he can handle balls up in the strike zone but needs to adjust better to breaking stuff. His swing is a tad long but he creates serious bat speed at times. The ball jumps off his wood bat and we think he'll end up hitting with power once he masters the mechanics. One of the best athletes with raw tools in the nation. Outstanding potential in this young man. L.V. was invited to the PG AFLAC Showcase in Baltimore but could not attend.

L.V. Ware -- Ware showed some of the best raw tools of the showcase. He’s a live bodied 6-0 outfielder with well above MLB average speed and above average arm strength. Ware’s 6.67 time in the 60 was on a very soft surface and we think that taking about .20/sec. off the 60 times would be fair. Ware’s coaches tell us he’s run in the 6.4’s in the past. At the plate, Ware hits from an open stance with a limited stride. He creates some bat speed but isn’t well balanced at the plate. Ware took some good hacks against live pitching but was very susceptible to curveballs on the outside half with his approach. He has the tools to improve his hitting with more repetitions and coaching. Definitely a big time prospect.
