Eidell is a 2005 RHP from Norristown, PA with a 6'1"/190 pound frame. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot and hides the ball well. He showed a compact delivery with a deceptive, short arm action. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with some good life, and he was very effective down in the zone. He threw his curveball at 69 mph with a tight 11-5 break, and was very consistentley around the zone. His change-up topped out at 74 with good run and sink. He has good cammand of all his pitches, and he will do very well at the next level. Josh is an excellent student.

Joshua Eidell is a 6'1", 190 lb. right handed pitcher from Norristown, Pennsylvania, with a strong body. He has a smooth take away in his delivery with high elbows, but finishes with some effort and a hard front side that he doesn't get fully over. Josh showed an 83 mph fastball, 70 mph curveball, and 75 mph change up, and was around the plate with all three pitches. His curveball was loose to start with, but he found his release point after a couple and threw some solid average curveballs with two plane break. We've heard reports of Josh throwing harder than he did at UNC, and could see him adding some velocity right away with better extension and direction at his release point. He is an excellent student.

Josh is a strong athletic RHP/3B from Norristown, PA. In the field Josh showed above average skills with the glove, with good footwork and college level arm strength at 81mph across the diamond. He made smooth transfers and showed great body control on slow rollers. With the bat Josh uses a a slight loft approach with quick hands from a balanced stance. His hands have a tendency to drop due to poor lower half action, but he is a good enough athlete to make consistent barrel contact. On the mound is where Josh shined. Using a very compact and linear delivery with a short quick arm action Josh worked down in the zone with a FB in the mid 80s. His breaking ball and change up are college level right now. His curve ball was very tight with good rotation, good depth and deception. His change up showed good command and heavy arm side sink. With plenty of room to get stronger Josh should be a player to keep a eye on. He is a very good student.
