Jordan Worley is a 2007 RHP/1B with a 6'2'', 220 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV, who attends Palo Verde HS. Extra large frame with great strength throughout. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with solid arm action and arm speed. Worley stays online and balanced in his delivery with a good finish to his pitches. His fastball topped out at 80 mph with occasional sink. Worley also mixes in a 70 mph curveball and a 71 mph changeup. He gets good depth on his curveball and arm side fade on his change. Worley mixes his pitches well and keeps the ball out of the middle of the plate. Did not allow a hit or run during his 3 innings on the mound. At the plate he takes a good swing and makes consistent contact. Worley gets leverage in his swing and shows projectable power, including a HR during batting practice. He gets good weight shift and rotates well on the inside pitch. Worley is a very good student as well.

Jordan Worley is a 6'1" 220 pound 2007 right handed pitcher and first baseman from Las Vegas, Nevada who attends Palo Verde High School. He has a mature thick body with a large frame and a big bone structure. Jordan throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a full arm action in the back. He has good arm speed out front with a balanced delivery and even tempo. He throws strikes with his fastball which topped out at 81 mph. His curveball was in the 64-65 mph range and his change up in the 63-70 mph range. He finishes very well and keeps the ball down in the strike zone. Worley has good hands and footwork required to be a good defensive first baseman. He can handle all the routine ground balls and has good enough arm strength to make accurate throws across the infield. At the plate, Jordan starts with an average base and a closed front side. He is balanced in his swing which is very quiet and he uses his hands very well to spray the ball to all fields. Worley has a loose easy swing and the ball jumps off his bat when he centers it. Jordan is a solid prospect who is a good student as well.

Worley is an "07" from Las Vegas. He is a young, but strong pitcher / corner infielder with wide shoulders. He has the body type that needs some maturity and physical conditioning. From the field he shows a good approach to the ball with nice hands. He needs to improve his footwork and arm strength over the next few years. At the plate he hits from a high hand style that squares up on the ball well through contact. Projects to hit with power! On the mound he shows good potential. His fastball is good and lively for his age at 67-73mph. He throws his curve at 55-58mph with a 12-6 rotation. He should work hard on the changeup. He could be very interesting as he physically matures and hardens his big body. Obviously he is young (9th grade) and has lots of time. One to watch closely in the next couple of years.
