Cord Cockrell is a 2011 RHP/SS with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Duson, LA who attends Acadiana HS. Slender athletic build, wiry strength. Quality 2-way prospect. Well paced delivery, overhand release, throws downhill, hides ball well. Mid 80's 4-seam fastball, will cut or sink FB at 81 mph, big breaking downer CB, nice feel for change up. Pitches with intent, mixes it up, really knows how to make ball move. Advanced defensive actions at SS, quick feet, good arm strength, soft hands, always balanced, 6.69 runner. Line drive hitter, good simple load, swing a bit long at times, squares up well, will improve hitting with more strength. Good student.
