Jimmy Saris -- Saris is a junior right handed pitcher from Virginia who gives you the impression that he’s bigger and stronger than his listed 6-0, 175 lb size. Saris has a very good arm, with a short, compact takeaway and good quickness out front. Saris is primarily a fastball pitcher who is very aggressive low in the strike zone early in counts and goes right after hitters with his 84-86 mph fastball. His curveball topped out at 72 mph and had real good spin. He also threw a 71-75 mph change up that had some run and fade. Saris is a very good student. Definitely an "05" highest level pitching prospect.

Saris is a right-hander with some outstanding potential. He is just 5 foot 10 and 170 pounds and showed the toughest mentality of the pitchers we saw. He was a bulldog that wanted to pitch against everyone. His arm is fast and works real good from a 3/4 arm slot. He threw his fastball between 81-84 and touching 85 mph. He also threw a 65-66 mph curveball and a 72-74 mph change-up. He threw all 3 pitches for strikes and competed as if it were game 7 of the World Series. In the Top Prospect game he was again difficult to hit and very competitive. He has the ability and the desire to win at a high level of college baseball. Jimmy is a good student.
