Kyle Garlick is a 2010 MIF/OF/P with a 5'11'', 160 lb. frame from Chino Hills, CA who attends Chino Hills. Garlick has a lean athletic build with some room to fill out. Defensively, Garlick has clean defensive actions on the infield with sound transfers. He throws with a long arm action and has developing arm strength. His feet work defensively and he showed the ability to pick it. At the plate, Garlick starts his swing with a knee lift trigger and maintains good balance through his swing. He generates good bat speed and takes a short simple path to the baseball. Garlick has a good idea at the plate and is real aggressive in the strike zone. He centers the baseball well and the ball makes a good crisp sound off the bat. Garlick can turn on the inside pitch easy and can really hit. He is also a very good student.
