Tyler Hayes is a 2009 OF with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Irvington, AL who attends Faith Academy. He has a good athletic build with square shoulders and some present strength. Hayes is a nice looking young hitter who has some present bat speed and the potential for more. He sets up with high hands and takes an aggressive, hard swing with good extension through the ball. Hayes aggressive swing sometimes leaves him off balance but he showed the ability to make solid contact off different types of pitches and make adjustments. He has some present gap to gap power. Hayes had fundamentally sound athletic outfield actions and developing arm strength. He ran the 60 in 7.27. Follow him to see how far his bat develops. Hayes is a very good student off the field.
