Travis Rigsby is a 2008 OF/3B with a 6'0'', 195 lb. frame from Temecula, California, who attends Great Oak High School. Rigsby has a nice frame with present strength in his body. Defensively he has solid arm strength from the outfield throwing 82 mph. He has a nice release, and he gets very good online carry to the bag. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open stance with a wide base. Rigsby shows bat speed through the hitting zone at times. He also has a slight lift in his swing plane. He makes solid contact when he centers ball. In game action, Rigsby showed better bat speed and swing mechanics than he did during batting practice. He also has instincts on the bases. Rigsby is also a very good student.
