Charlie Haslup is a 2009 RHP/OF with a 6'4'', 160 lb. frame from Easton, MD who attends Easton. Charlie has a lean athletic build that projects well. On the mound Charlie has a live arm with a loose easy arm action that projects a good amound of velocity. He has an athletic delivery and gets a nice downhill plane on his pitches with good armside run. Charlie shows a tight 11 to 5 curveball and good feel for a change-up. He is around that plate with all of his pitches and works quick. With natural growth, Charlie has a very bright future on the mound. At the plate Charlie has good raw hitting tools with solid bat speed and nice power projection. He gets rotational in his swing at times and needs to make sure he hits through the ball. In the field Charlie best projects at third base where he has solid raw tools with good raw arm strength. Charlie is a solid student that should attract the attention of many mid to high-level college programs.
