Cade Sears is a 2009 1B/C/3B with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Del Mar, CA who attends The Bishop's School. Tall athletic build, body projects well, big raw power potential, hits the ball to all fields, good opposite field pop, patient and balanced hitting approach, squares up pitches well, nice bat extension, raw power projects, strong infield actions, good release, nice range, good footwork behind the plate, accurate arm, solid release, great student.

Cade Sears is a 2009 C 1B/3B with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from La Jolla, CA who attends The Bishop's School. He is a really good looking young catching prospect with quite a bit of upside. Sears has a projectable body that is long, lean and athletically built. He is going to fill out quite nicely over the years. There are hints of high end ability with Sears, both offensively and defensively. He has a really nice looking LH swing that has some barrel whip. Sears' hands work well and he showed good timing, with the ability and willingness to hit to all fields. He keeps his body behind the ball and his hands inside the ball. All of that says his power will be coming in the near future. He is a projectable power bat as a switch-hitting and athletic bodies catcher. That alone should draw him considerable interest from colleges. Sears also has projectable defensive ability. He has nice receiving hands and a solid catch/throw transfer. His lower throwing slot created some high, sailing throws and obviously that needs to be corrected. It is possible that Sears has not been catching for a long time. We love his upside.

Cade Sears is a 2009 C/1B/3B with a 6'1'', 160 lb. frame from Del Mar, California, who attends The Bishop's School. Sears has a good frame that is lean. Defensively he has quickness behind the plate. He has nice footwork that allows him to block balls in the dirt, as well as have solid pop times to second base. Sears receives well, and he is smooth behind the dish in game action. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from an open stance with an average base. He gets spread at contact, but he has nice swing mechanics. He uses a line drive swing plane, and he stays inside the ball using the whole field. Sears is a contact hitter who hits line drives. He plays hard and he hustles on the bases. Sears is an excellent student as well.
