D'Alessio could only show up for BP because he had to go to work at his job. He showed the same great bat speed and swing we have seen several times in the past. He was the only hitter to hit one out of the gigantic stadium. 360 down the lines and 415 straight away. He hit one that went out straight away rightfield an estimated 400' shot on a line. He ranks right up there with many of the other top hitting prospects in the nation and he swings from the left side. He has a big tall good athletic body and can play 3B or 1B. Probably projects at 1B in pro ball. If he shows off that bat this Spring, he could become an early pick this June. He's fun to watch taking BP, and he's real hard to miss. You'll hear him hit the ball if you're looking the other way. He's unavoidable to a scout.

D'Alessio has a great body and is a good athlete. He can play the corners in the infield and maybe the outfield. His tools are MLB average except his bat. His hitting ability is right up there with anyone in the country. He creates plus bat speed in a controlled fashion. The ball sounds and looks much different coming off his wood bat. He's a line drive guy with outstanding power potential. Excellent makeup and his bat could get him a picked early next June.

Hitting is D’Alessio’s forte. He happens to have one of the best swings and most powerful bats in the Junior (2003) class. He is a strong left-handed hitter who generated plus bat-speed and showed us plus hitting ability in Ft Myers. He can field his position at 3B and has a playable arm but his bat is unquestionably his best tool. He can hit the ball where it is pitched and has power to all fields.

Really puts a charge in the ball with a beautiful left-handed swing and level plane. D’Alessio was arguably the best hitter at the event. He has plus hitting ability and power right now. He can play 3B with a slightly below average Major League arm but his bat will put him across the diamond if need be. Definite big pro prospect!
