Ethan Wong is a 2027 C/1B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from La Canada, CA who attends La Canada. Features a sturdy/physical build with present strength throughout. Ran a 7.97 60-yd dash. At 1B, exhibited active feet that allowed him to set up quickly on his DP turns. Present glove skill showing confidence with his backhand. Lengthened out his arm action on throws across and shortened it up on DPs where he has quality arm strength up to 75 mph. Behind the plate, he works in a side-saddle position where he has a fast/clean exchange that he pairs with a shorter arm action to release. Replaces feet well that gain ground and set good direction towards second. At the plate, he sits in a quiet stance with lower hanging hands. Uses a quick stride that gets his foot down early as his hands pop back into a slight armbar at launch. Strong/quick hands turn the barrel on a slight uphill path with balance that flashed some projectable power and produced line drives to the middle of the field. Projects to be a quality middle-of-the-order bat.
