The 1020 slot over at Brook Run got started off with a bang as Colton Guillot (2026, Gulf Breeze, Fla.) crushed a no doubt solo shot to deep left field. A Duke commit, Guillot was super impressive at the Sophomore National earlier this month where he set an event record with a 101 mph throw from the outfield. He didn’t need to throw this ball as instead he crushed it long gong to the pull side. It’s a violent torque of the hips with the requisite bat speed to do damage and he does a nice job at separating and lifting out in front. There’s big tools here for Guillot and he took one of the more impressive swings of the day on Monday.
