Rice isn’t used to being on the outside looking in when it comes to rankings.

The bad news for the Owls this week is they aren’t in the Perfect Game Top 25. The good news is they’re not far from rejoining the rankings.

It could be as simple as earning a road series win over East Carolina this weekend.

The Owls headline the 25 teams on the cusp of our rankings, but there are several other teams worth watching this week, including Baylor and Tulane, which hope to rebound from tough weeks on the diamond.
