The Perfect Game National Predraft will take place this coming Monday starting at 10:00 AM. The event is held each May at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Predraft has a long list of past high draft picks who have attended. Carl Crawford (D?€™Rays), Brian McCann (Braves), Jeff Clement (Mariners), Ryan Sweeney (White Sox), Wade Townsend (D?€™Rays), Eric Cordier (Royals), Jason Jaramillo (Phillies), Victor Diaz (Mets), Wes Obermueller (Brewers), Bobby Livingston (Mariners), Jeremy Hellickson (D?€™Rays), Joel Hanrahan (Dodgers), Zach Hammes (Dodgers), Thomas Diamond (Rangers), are just a few of the many big prospects who traveled to Cedar Rapids in the past. Except for Sweeney, that is, because he was from Cedar Rapids.

This year?€™s pre-draft features some of the top pitching prospects in the Midwest. Also highly ranked pitchers from California and Alaska are planning on attending. Those attending include the top pitcher in Iowa, Zach Von Tersch 6-5 RHP who has signed to attend Georgia Tech. The top pitcher in Wisconsin, Tony Butler 6-7 LHP who has signed with Arkansas. The top pitcher in Nebraska, Joe Broekemeir 6-4 RHP who has signed with Nebraska. One of the top pitchers in Arkansas is Evan Cox 6-1 RHP who has also signed with Arkansas. They will all be there along with several other good ones from coast to coast.

It won?€™t just be the pitchers drawing all the attention. Some of the top hitters and position players in the country will be on hand, as well. We are looking forward to again seeing the sweet left handed swings of Matt Holliman (Tennessee), Matt Sweeney (Maryland) and Ben Ihde (Wisconsin). The event should have a little of everything including some good Juco and small college players. Some of the players attending this year?€™s Predraft have been well hidden and could create some serious draft interest. There?€™s never been a year yet when the PG Predraft hasn?€™t produced a few big surprises.

The Predraft rosters change daily and we expect to pick up a few more highly regarded prospects over the weekend. Here is the current list.
