Davis has been on the scout’s radar since he was touching 90 mph as a freshman. The strongly build right hander now tops out at 94-95 mph with his fastball and it can look even faster to hitters due to Davis’ deceptive high energy delivery. Even with that type of heat, Davis’ best pitch might be a mid to upper-70s curveball that has hard spin and bite and big depth. He also has good feel for a changeup and is a mature three-pitch hurler.
