AJ Curry is a 2026 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Francis W. Parker. He has a long and lengthy build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.09 seconds. Primary outfielder that moves methodically through the baseball, presenting the glove early and fielding securely. He throws with a long and loose arm action that produces solid carry and is accurate to the bases. Secondary left-handed pitcher that uses a moderate leg kick and a long arm action that is similar to the one he showed in the outfield. He showed nice looseness in his shoulder during his deliver. His fastball shows arm side run and he works it to both sides of the plate. His changeup features some tumbling arm side action. He also keeps hitters off balance with a cutter that has short, horizontal action that keeps the ball off opposing hitter's barrels. Also worked out at first base, sitting back on the ball before delivering it on time to the bag. At the dish, he sets up with medium slightly open base working into a coiling load. The barrel is whippy through the zone and creates solid impact when barreled up. He does a nice job of working back up the middle of the field and showed the ability to pull the ball with power. Outstanding student.
