Nick Barnes is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends El Capitan. Featuring an athletic frame, Nick worked out on the mound. He has a three-pitch mix that includes a fastball, breaking ball and change up. Showed glove side command with the fastball. Breaking ball is sharp with sweep. Has an athletic, repeatable operation. He throws out of a high three-quarter slot with the ability locate effectively. In the outfield he showed proper footwork and glove technique with a strong, accurate arm. At the plate he has a medium base. He keeps his hands low with a direct, up the middle approach. He has the ability to hit gaps consistently. He is a very good student.
