Atticus Gates is a 2024 RHP/ with an athletic, projectable 6-0 175 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic HS. He features a 3-pitch mix that includes a fastball, curveball and change up. The fastball has arm-side-run and the curveball has excellent 12-6 shape. Changeup runs away from righties. Gates works linear down the mound and throws out of a high 3/4 arm slot with a longer arm path. A strike thrower with a repeatable delivery and a balanced operation throughout. Struck out 4 in 3 innings of work allowing 1 earned.
