Kyler Llewellyn is a 2018 MIF/RHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Running Springs, CA who attends Rim Of The World HS. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 7.89 sixty yard dash. Primary middle infielder with smooth, fundamental footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling underneath. Clean glove to hand exchanges while working through transfer. Creates good momentum through the baseball while working to the bag. Throws were accurate to the bag with solid carry topping at 78 mph. Right handed hitter with a square, balanced stance and low hand set. Simple, compact path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Repeats swing well producing consistent line drive, ground ball contact to all fields. Flashed bat speed with developing strength to split the outfield gaps. Showed a good plate presence in games with the willingness to hit outside pitch to opposite field. Also pitched showing a high leg kick to gather while creating front side coil at balance. Lower half works downhill while driving to the plate, carries momentum well through the plate. Releases from a three-quarters arm slot with a shorter finish at extension. Fastball has occasional running action when working to arm side, topped at 79 mph. Curveball has some spin with depth in the low 60's. Flashed tighter spin with later depth when working curveball to glove side. Flashed a changeup in the low 70's, maintained arm speed with occasional fading action when located down in the strike zone. Tools will develop with continued physical maturity and mechanical refinement. Good student as well.
