Benjamin Perez is a 2020 MIF/with a 5-3 110 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Centennial HS. Perez has a small frame with a young lean build. Defensively he showed developing footwork to the baseball and solid young infield actions. He has clean transfers and a clean release with developing arm strength up to 68 MPH. At the plate Perez starts with a slightly open stance with a narrow base. He has a higher hand set and has a bat waggle load. Perez swings on a line drive path and showed good barrel skills in BP. He has a good idea of what he's doing both at the plate and defensively. Perez is a very young player with upside who will really improve as he grows and gains strength. He hustled all over the field and was not intimidated competing against much older players.
