Phillip Sanchez is a 2016 2B/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Cypress Creek HS. Has a lean, athletic build with plenty of room to continue to put on additional muscle. Posted a 6.70 second sixty yard dash. From the infield, flashes solid middle infield tools with good footwork. Made accurate throws across the infield with good carry from an over the top arm slot, arm strength up to 84 mph. At the plate, right-handed hitter that has a loose, balanced swing. Uses an aggressive and simple approach to the baseball and attacks all fields. Displayed good bat speed with great incorporation of his lower half. Great approach at the plate, always has a game plan and consistently finds barrels. Excellent student. Named to 2016 Sunshine South Top Prospect List.
