Ethan Weinberg is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Brentwood HS. Large frame with strong, athletic build; good projection remaining as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.97 seconds. Primary pitcher, employs shorter arm circle through the back up to near-overtop arm slot, lands slightly open, gets downhill well and manages to generate solid plane on pitches. Repeats delivery well and shows athleticism on the mound. Fastball worked 75-77 MPH, worked down in the zone pretty well and generated solid sinking life on the pitch. Curveball is the out pitch, shows very good spin with sharp break and 12/6 shape; did a very good job burying it down and out of the zone and getting swings-and-misses on the pitch. Pitched aggressively and efficiently. Worked out defensively in the outfield, moves aggressively to the ball, fields cleanly out in front and works quickly into release, showing quality arm strength clocked up to 79 MPH. Outstanding student.
