Landn Kauk is a 2017 2B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Bakersfield, CA who attends Highland HS. Smaller frame with a strong, athletic frame. Right handed hitter with a tall, straight stance and leg lift trigger. Primarily uses a mid-field approach with a level, line drive swing plane. Swings with intent to drive the baseball to the gaps. Showed the present bat speed through extension to split the gaps at times. Aggresively attacked baseball in the zone while making consistent, hard line drive contact throughout batting practice. Worked out defensively from the infield showing an rotational, uphill arm action with slight recoil at release. Throws were accurate across the infield with some carry. Funnels baseball out front with clean exchanges while working through transition. Outstanding student.
