Christopher Salas-Stark-Jones is a 2019 1B/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Madera, CA who attends Fresno HS. Medium-large frame with strong, sturdy frame; good projection remaining as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.17 seconds. Sets up to hit from straight, spread-out stance, high hand set and high back elbow, loads hands deep, big shift into contact, looks to loft the ball, made sprayed contact to all fields with some jump off the barrel. Worked out defensively at first base, deep funnel out front with solid footwork, pivots well and makes solid throws across the diamond, clocked up to 79 MPH. Pitched as well, exclusively from the stretch, long extended arm action with some whip up to high 3/4 arm slot. Threw only fastballs, worked 62-66 MPH, found bottom of the zone and pitched to contact. Good student.
