Chase Rowe is a 2018 OF/3B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Santa Monica, CA who attends Notre Dame HS. Large frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additionals size with strength. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance and high hand set. Quiet, simple load and launches to contact with rotational actions. Compact, inside path to contact with a slightly downhill plane. Produces line drive, groundball contact to the middle of the field. Flashed barrel control and strength to drive the baseball to the opposite field gap as well. Worked out defensively from the outfield showing athletic actions while closing on the baseball and working through transition. Gains momentum to bag with a curl hop into throws. Loose arm cirlce back at separation and releases from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws produce accurate carry to the bag, topped at 75 mph. Clean glove skills while working through the baseball with clean, smooth paced glove to hand exchanges. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and repetition. Good student as well.
