Trevor Reed is a 2019 C/3B with a 6-0 198 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cypress Woods HS. Reed has a medium sized frame with a strong build. He has a side saddle set up with a high set up defensively on his pop throws. He has a clean path on his transfers and throws with a short arm action. He throws with some effort and has a rotational release. Reed showed some receiving tools and blocking skills behind the plate. At the plate he starts with a narrow base and has a bent knee set up. He takes a pre-stride as a timing mechanism and has a short simple swing. He has some strength in his swing and showed some bat speed. Reed showed solid young hitting tools to work with and some power potential. Excellent student.
