John Colin Richards is a 2016 RHP/SS, 3B, 2B, OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Hayden, ID who attends Coeur D'Alene. Large, well-built frame with good athleticism and projection remaining on body. Ran well, posting a 6.81 60-yard dash time. Primary pitcher, high-waisted athletic look on the mound, gets on top of ball from high 3/4 slot and gets downhill well. Longer arm action with a deep stab at bottom of arm circle. Up tempo delivery throughout, showed both high 3/4 slot and sidearm. FB from higher slot worked 78-82 topping at 83 with plane. Sidearm FB worked 75-77 with excellent arm side run. Slider will show legitimate two-plane snap and bat-missing potential. Flashed CH as well with some fading action. Projects well on the mound. Hits from spread, open stance. Bottom half comes through well, showed opposite-field approach with consistent contact ability. Athletic defensive actions in the infield, fields well with quick release and accurate arm, topping at 78 MPH across the diamond.
