Aidan McLaughlin is a 2017 OF/ with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Suffern, NY who attends Don Bosco Prep. Large frame with long, lean and athletic present build; good projection remaining on body. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.98 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide, even stance with hand hands and high back elbow; leg lift timing mechanism with good shift into contact. Swing with line drive swing plane, shows solid bat speed, flashed ability to backspin the ball into the gaps and has definite strength in his swing; drove the ball well when on time. Worked out defensively in the outfield, moves well to the ball with longer strides and good balance, fields out front and shows very quality defensive fundamentals throughout. Full and loose arm stroke uphill, good carry on the ball back into the infield, clocked up to 76 MPH on throws. Good student.
