Jean Cartagena Rivera is a 2025 C with a 6-2 230 lb. frame from Cidra, PR who attends BYOU Academy. Extra big and strong build. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a hanging front foot load, back side hitter with a loose and smooth swing with nice extension, has strength and lift to all fields, strength over bat speed swing but there's big strength there, hit a game home run on a breaking ball over the plate. 8.00 runner. Primary catcher on defense, arm strength is his best defensive tool, can improve his lower half quickness and agility. Bat/power is his tool. Very good student. Named to the Puerto Rico National Showcases Qualifier Top Prospect List.
