Daryl Pino (2016 RHP, Vega Alta, PR) sat 84-86mph on his fastball this afternoon with his slider at 71mph. Pino has a long full AA with a fluid delivery. Pino's slider has good hard spin with bite and depth to it.
Alberto J Schmidt (2016 C, Juana Diaz, PR) looked good at the plate today for the Dark Green team. Schmidt has a line drive swing plane with bat speed and makes hard solid contact.
Christian Del Toro (2016 RHP, Trujillo Alto, PR) had his fastball top out at 88mph this afternoon to go with a curveball at 70mph. Del Toro has a compact high 3/4 arm slot with heavy run and sink on his fastball and challenges hitters with it.
Jonathan Ortiz (2016 RHP, Caguas, PR) also topped out at 88mph on his fastball mixing in a slider at 77mph. Ortiz pitches from an extended 3/4 arm slot with lots of run on his fastball and throws his slider with good late life and depth.
Jose L Diana (2016 LHP, Santa Isabel, PR) topped out at 89mph on his fastball today pairing it with a curveball at 72mph and his changeup at 74mph. Diana has hard late tailing action on his fastball doing a good job of hitting his spots with it and has good depth to his curveball.
Alexis Torres (2016 SS, Caguas, PR) looked good at the plate today for the Col. Blue team. Torres has good bat speed with a good swing and makes solid barrel contact at the plate.
Stephan Soto (2016 2B, San German, PR) had a couple of hits in the game for the Col. Blue team. Soto has a line drive swing plane with bat speed and has a sound approach at the plate. In the field Soto made a nice diving play at 2B and has good lateral quickness.
