Boras Classic South Scout Notes

The Boris Classic South showcased some of the best Southern California high school talent, with players delivering outstanding performances on both the mound and at the plate. The tourney delivered exceptional pitching performances, including a no-hitter, clutch hitting displays, comeback wins, walk-offs, and matchups that kept fans on the edge of their seats at both JSerra HS and Mater Dei HS locations. Programs from across the region squared off in fierce battles, including nail-biting and extra-inning games that showed the determination and skill of the athletes. There were MLB draft prospects, and the MLB scouting community was out in full force, recognizing the talent on the field as some of the best in the country. Ultimately, the tournament culminated in a dramatic showdown, with the Mater Dei Monarchs emerging victorious over the formidable Corona Panthers, the number one ranked high school team in the country.
