C.J. Harrison is a 2008 C/RHP with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Provo UT, who attends Orem HS. Harrison has a wiry, lanky body that is still developing. He plays with excellent energy and looked like he really enjoys being on the field. At the plate he has an aggressive nature and a very nice hitting approach. His hands work very well and they stay on the ball through contact, allowing him to hit the ball with authority to all fields. Harrison made a lot of barrel contact and hit into a lot of hard outs in the middle of the field. Future strength gains will really enhance his offensive abilities. Defensively Harrison has good actions. He has an agile body and moves well behind the plate,with excellent blocking skills. He is an accurate thrower with a chance to be a solid average catch/throw guy. Harrison works hard on each and every pitch and is a leader on the field. His skill set is quite coachable at the catcher position. He also got on the mound and showed his game savvy there. His arm is pretty loose and he showed some feel of the breaking ball. Harrison is a solid student and a gamer on the field. He is the type of player that is successful in the college game.
