2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 6)
Dean McCravy is a 2023 OF/RHP, 2B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Greenville, SC who attends J L Mann. Medium current frame, high waisted with room to grow, present physicality and some hop to his actions. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.28 seconds. Primary position OF, using deliberate angles and approach to ball leading to him squared up very well to the target. Works glove out front with one hand gather and transfers well to a higher slot as he produced throws up to 84 mph to the infield. Spins the ball backwards with good carry. RHH working with a wide base, balanced and inline stance leading him to a hanging leg lift before launch. Loose upper body actions with good length and some whip in his hands. Showed some timing inconsistency but when on time he launched balls gap to gap with excellent backspin carry. With his strength and physicality there is still plenty of projection left to his game. Outstanding student.
