David Blome is a 2022 3B/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Helix. Medium slender build with plenty of room to fill out as he develops. Primary infielder, stays in front of the ball well and fields out in front. Arm strength will develop nicely alongside his build. On the mound, shorter arm action from a three-quarters arm slot. Stays tall throughout his motion and showcases strong drop and drive actions. 73-78 mph fastball possesses occasional downhill plane and he mixes in a 10-to-5 shaped curveball with good depth. At the plate, uses an upright and slightly narrow stance with a mid leg kick trigger. Still developing his rhythm and timing with the pitcher but has solid pop when he connects. Hands stay quiet back into his load, middle of the field approach. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
