Lawson Evans is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Brentwood, TN who attends Ravenwood. Medium to large frame with a lean, wiry build showing plenty of room to fill out physically in the future. Ran a 7.25 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder showing a clean first step working well through the baseball showing feel for mechanics. Slows momentum down in throws before showing an over the top arm angle. Carry to throws starting to show with more in the tank down the road. Accuracy to bags as well. Secondary Righthanded pitcher working exclusively from the stretch utilizing his frame well gaining ground down the mound. Shorter arm circle in the back changing up arm slots with different pitches but mainly working from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball showing flat plane with some downhill tilt at times topping out at 79 MPH. Curveball showed loose spin with 11-to-5 movements landing it for strikes. Righthanded hitter starting from a balanced stance with an open front foot. Shorter leg lift and stride as hands get deep. Works into a linear swing path that can get steep at times. Middle to pull-side approach showing to be aggressive looking to hit early in the count. Outstanding Student.
