Jack McFadden is a 2020 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Columbia, MO who attends Rock Bridge. Medium frame with broad shoulders and an athletic build. Ran a 7.18 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Moves well with athletic strides and aggressive angles to the ball. Clean glove actions out front with soft hands. Smooth through transfer getting the ball out quick on throws topping out at 77 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a narrow and open stance to start. Utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing. Swings with intent with a quick barrel through the zone. Line drive path creating top spin off the bat. Middle of the field to pull side approach. Can create some pop off the bat when creating a bit of leverage through contact. Secondary righthanded pitcher working from the stretch and a high leg lift. Generates some drop and drive actions down the mound. Works down in the zone well with a fastball that shows some downward angle to the plate at 75 miles per hour. Secondary pitch was a changeup with sinking actions. Keeps everything in the lower quadrants of the zone and generated ground ball contact. Very good student as well.
