Jarett Prins is a 2018 SS/2B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Muskegon, MI who attends Grand Haven HS. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build; good projection remaining on body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.14 seconds. Switch-hitter, sets up from right side with wide base and high hands, stays compact with hands through contact, showed whole-field approach on line drive plane. Similar set up from left side, more pull-approach with solid hand speed, gets the barrel out and can line the ball into the pull field with some authority, showed good shift into contact with feel to hit from both sides. Worked out defensively in the infield, clean funnel out front with both hands, has easy movements with athleticism and quality footwork, gets off quick release across the diamond with throws clocked up to 78 MPH. Good student.
