Eduardo Medina is a 2018 RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Puerto Rico BB Academy. Medium build, lots of room to get stronger. Stays over the rubber well in his delivery, long and loose arm action, has good balance and direction in his mechanics, lands open with his front side, extended 3/4's arm slot. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph, works down in the zone well with lots of sink and running action, throws strikes with his fastball and gets early count contact and lots of ground balls. Has feel for his breaking ball and threw it with both curveball and slider shapes, can throw breaking ball more often but was very effective when he used it. Fielded his position well and showed athleticism. Should continue to improve as he gets stronger.
