Liam Sommer is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Butte, MT who attends Butte HS. Tall and slender young build, lots of room to get stronger and fill out. Hip turn delivery with a long and loose arm action in back, high 3/4's arm slot, has some fall off to the first base side on release. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 80 mph, gets good arm side running action at times. Slow curveball has good depth and 11/5 shape to it. Threw strikes with both pitches and mixed his pitches effectively while staying out of the middle of the plate. Projects to keep on improving if he can get stronger. Right handed hitter, open tall stance with a hand drop load, mid field line drive contact. Showed the same type of long and loose arm in the outfield as on the mound, 7.68 runner.
