Simon Tait is a 2017 3B/2B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from South Jordan, UT who attends Bingham HS. Strong athletic build, physical look. Right handed hitter, has a short swing with some strength at contact, gets the barrel out early and looks to pull the ball, line drive swing plane, gets some jump off the barrel. 6.90 runner with a strong first step, has clean hands at the ball and good footwork to the ball, especially to the back hand, can quicken his release, throws from different arm slots with some carry, profiles best at second base. Has the physical tools to keep improving. Good student.
