Eli Krakow is a 2018 SS/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Greenhill School. Medium frame with broad shoulders and an athletic build. Ran a 7.42 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while traveling to and working through the baseball. Funnels the baseball cleanly from a narrow stance and worked through exchange with developing fluidity. Released from a compact three-quarters arm slot generating softer on line carry to the bag, topped at 68 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a balanced, even stance and large leg lift trigger. Compact path to contact with a level plane through extension. Showed developing feel to manipulate the barrel and primarily utilized a mid-field approach. Flashed some line drive contact when on time and squared. Also pitched utilizing simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays flexed on back side and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Creates some sweep with front side and lands at a slightly closed position on front side. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters to bear over top arm slot. Fastball had occasional downhill tilt to the bottom of the zone in the low to mid 70's, topped at 75 miles per hour. Curveball flashed 12/6 shape with loose spin and some depth in the upper 60's. Worked to all quadrants of the zone and flashed some running action when working down to arm side. Good student as well.
